The Barn at Woodlake Meadows Wedding

The Barn at Woodlake Meadows Wedding Photo

Tori and DJ were wed this spring at The Barn at Woodlake Meadows in Bear Creek, NC. This wedding venue was so perfect for their wedding! The Barn at Woodlake Meadows is settled on over 50 acres of beautiful farmland. The venue itself overlooks a large pond and is surrounded by silos, the cutest farm animals (hello, llamas and baby goats!), and vineyards. It was the perfect rustic setting for a spring farm wedding!
We’ve had so much fun getting to know Tori and DJ over the last year. These two and their families couldn’t be any sweeter! It was such an honor to be able to photograph their gorgeous wedding! We wish them all the best!

Tell us about your wedding!
“We got married at The Barn at Woodlake Meadows. That was the first and last place that we looked. It was absolutely the perfect combo of laid back & fancy! DJ & I are really laid back and love the outdoors and we instantly felt this while touring this venue.”

What was the most fun part of the wedding planning for you?
“The best part of wedding planning for me was getting to spend quality time with my mom. I feel like the whole experience made me even closer to her. I was fortunate enough to have her plan a lot of the wedding for me and take the stress off of me. I could not have done any of it without her.”Carolina Blue Bridesmaid Dresses Wedding PhotoFlowergirl Babys Breath Flower Crown Photo
What was your favorite wedding day memory?
“Our favorite memory (for both of us) was probably when we stood back to back before the wedding and got to talk and pass notes without looking at each other. We got to hold hands and really let the moment sink in before all of the festivities started. I love that the first time he saw me was when I was walking down the isle, but I absolutely loved that we got to share just a moment between the two of us first.”

What were some of your favorite wedding day details?
“We loved that we got to hang out with our bridesmaids and groomsmen the whole day during the wedding. DJ loved shooting guns & I loved talking and laughing while getting ready.”

Do you have any advice for couples currently planning their own wedding?
“The best advice I could give is to sit back for a few minutes in the morning of your wedding and really let it sink in that its your wedding day. You never get the day back, so don’t rush anything and just have fun. Don’t stress because at the end of the day you get to marry the love of your life and that’s all that matters. Don’t get so caught up in planning the wedding that you explode because everything works out in the end, and that small detail that you forgot – no one else will notice!”

Mebane, NC Wedding Photographer | Savanna’s Bridal Portraits

We met Savanna for bridal portraits at her family’s farm in Mebane over the summer. This sweet lady wanted to ensure that her bridals took place somewhere with meaning to her – and where could be better than her childhood home?! And honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a more gorgeous location to shoot! Her family farm had everything; from rolling hills and ponds, weathered barns and white picket fences, to hay bales and cows. It was a gorgeous setting for bridal portraits!

Savanna and Scott were recently married in a lovely wedding at the Rand-Bryan House. But before we share their wedding images, here are a few from her recent bridal session in Mebane:

It’s not often that we get to photograph in a cow pasture! So when Savanna’s mom suggested that she pose with the family cows – how could we resist?! farm wedding photo with cowsNC Farm Wedding Photo

Jennifer + Taylor’s Sweet Southern Farm Wedding North Carolina Farm Wedding Photo

We’ve been looking forward to Jennifer + Taylor’s wedding day for ages! These two are seriously one of the sweetest couples we’ve had the pleasure of working with…and we couldn’t be happier for them! 🙂
This Dallas couple was married on a rustic farm located just outside of Fayetteville over the summer. (The owners of the farm had recently converted one of their old horse stables into an awesome wedding venue.)

We love when couples ditch outdated traditions and choose to do a ‘First Look’ and see one another before the ceremony.
Wedding days are so hectic that couples rarely have a chance to be alone together, so this gives them a few minutes to take a time-out and just be in the moment – together!

Both of their moms were adorable! They followed one another around for the longest time, holding hands and chatting. I loved Jen & Taylor’s families were so close. 🙂

I lovvee that they decided to toss lottery tickets and include all of their guests instead of the traditional bouquet/garter toss!
