Southport is a charming, seaside town where the mouth of the Cape Fear River meets the Atlantic Ocean. It was the perfect setting for a bride who dreamed of getting married by the sea. Lisa and Michael were married at the Southport Community Building beneath a gorgeous Oak tree overlooking the water. It was a beautiful ceremony, and the entire day was filled with joy and lots of dancing.
We’re so honored that these two allowed us to capture their wedding day! Congratulations, Lisa and Michael!

Heather + Samantha’s Lake Johnson Wedding in Raleigh, NC.

We’ve loved getting to know Heather and Samantha over the last year! These two are completely selfless; devoting themselves to each other, their friends, and their work. So naturally, we were thrilled to be a part of their special day! Heather and Samantha had a small, intimate ceremony with all of their friends and family at Lake Johnson in Raleigh. It was a laid-back affair, filled with laughter and lots of tears. After the ceremony, Heather and Samantha flew to New York to enjoy their honeymoon…and more importantly, legalize their marriage! We’re so happy we were able to celebrate with them and wish them all the best! Congrats, ladies!!

Jennifer + Taylor’s Sweet Southern Farm Wedding North Carolina Farm Wedding Photo

We’ve been looking forward to Jennifer + Taylor’s wedding day for ages! These two are seriously one of the sweetest couples we’ve had the pleasure of working with…and we couldn’t be happier for them! 🙂
This Dallas couple was married on a rustic farm located just outside of Fayetteville over the summer. (The owners of the farm had recently converted one of their old horse stables into an awesome wedding venue.)

We love when couples ditch outdated traditions and choose to do a ‘First Look’ and see one another before the ceremony.
Wedding days are so hectic that couples rarely have a chance to be alone together, so this gives them a few minutes to take a time-out and just be in the moment – together!

Both of their moms were adorable! They followed one another around for the longest time, holding hands and chatting. I loved Jen & Taylor’s families were so close. 🙂

The Chinese Tea Ceremony has been a time-honored wedding tradition since the seventh century, serving as a show of respect for the bride and groom’s respective families. Tea is also believed to bring happiness to the couple and to help foster healthy family relationships.

I lovvee that they decided to toss lottery tickets and include all of their guests instead of the traditional bouquet/garter toss!
