Where are you located?
We’re currently based out of Raleigh, North Carolina. We spend a good portion of the year photographing weddings all over the state and country though.

How much do you charge for wedding day coverage?
We offer three customized collections to choose from, with hourly coverage starting at 6 hours. Pricing for our wedding collections begins at $2,900.
If your wedding takes place between Monday – Wednesday, is an elopement or consists of less than 10 people and requires less time, a collection may be customized for you. To see a copy of our investment guide, just send us a message!

Do you travel? What are the travel costs?
Yes! We LOVE to travel for weddings and do our best to keep travel costs minimal. We have separate collections for weddings that take place outside of North Carolina, so just ask to see our destination wedding collections when you inquire with us.

Who will be photographing our wedding?
We (Ashley + David) photograph every wedding together. Ashley works as the primary photographer, with David as her second shooter and assistant. This is an arrangement we’ve perfected over the last 10 years and we love working together!

What do I do to hire you for my wedding?
First, send us an email to see if your date is available. We’ll send you a copy of our pricing guide and schedule a coffee date to see if we’re a good fit. (If you aren’t available to meet in person, we can schedule a phone or skype call…or just communicate via email. Whatever is easiest for you!)
Then, to officially book your wedding with us, we require a signed contract and $900 non-refundable retainer. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to your wedding date. Payment plans are available too.

Can I take a copy of the contract to read before I sign it?
Of course! Just ask for a sample and we’ll send one over! Take your time to look it over and feel free to let us know if you have questions!

How far in advance should I book my date with you?
This question is always a tricky one! We’ve booked weddings anywhere from one month before the wedding to two years in advance. If you’re sure you want to work with us (Yay!), we always recommend that you sign the contract and pay the non-refundable retainer ASAP to guarantee your date.

How many pictures can we expect from the day?
This depends on the amount of wedding day coverage you select. Clients can typically expect a minimum of 400 images. Again, this number varies depending on the length of the wedding, so let us know if you’d like an estimate based on your coverage.

Can we see all of the images you take?
No, and trust us – you won’t mind! We’ll cull down the photos we take to the very best images. The photos that don’t make the cut are usually duplicates…or photos where eyes are closed + double chins prominent. You’re welcome!

Will I get a digital copy of my wedding photos?
Yes, you will receive a USB with high resolution images and a personal use print release once your photos are ready. Your images will also be available for download via your online wedding gallery.

We’ve already had engagement photos taken. Can we swap out the complimentary engagement session for something else?
We can’t stress the importance of spending time in front of the camera with your wedding photographer enough! It gives you a chance to see how we work and we’ll learn the best poses that work for you as a couple. (Our 3 Reasons NOT To Skip The Engagement Session discusses this more in-depth.) With that said, the complimentary engagement session cannot be substituted. If your collection includes digital files from the engagement session though, you may swap that out for additional hours or print credit.

What if your camera breaks?
We always carry a full range of professional backup equipment to weddings. We’re paranoid like that.

What if you can’t make it to my wedding?
Unless a natural disaster occurs, we’ll be there! We’ve never cancelled on a wedding and are 100% committed to all of our clients. (But in the unlikely event that one of us is unable to attend your wedding, we will find a competent professional to fill in.)

What if we change the date of our wedding?
As long as we don’t already have a wedding on that date, it shouldn’t be a problem! Let us know as soon as you decide to change your date and we’ll do our best to work something out. If we end up being unavailable for your new wedding date, we’ll be happy to recommend another photographer.
